  • Master the creation, copying, and importing of tasks. Grasp the nuances of task durations, dependencies, lags, leads, and the assignment and replacement of resources.

Costing Basics:

  • Learn about fixed costs and managing fixed-priced contractors in your projects.


Section 2:

Managing Time and Resources

Dealing with Constraints:

  • Navigate through time constraints, setting deadlines, and the art of identifying and resolving project schedule conflicts.

Resource Management:

  • Address resource over-allocation and learn the strategic method of resource leveling.

Project Baseline and Monitoring:

  • Understand the importance of baseline, tracking project time and cost progress, and using the project status and current date for real-time tracking.

Updates and Task Types:

  • Dive into updating fixed costs, and adjusting duration, work, and units. Explore various task types and the concept of effort-driven tasks.

Performance Analysis:

  • Monitor project variance, interpret earned value variances, and predict project outcomes using TCPI.

Corrective Actions and Reporting:

  • Understand when and how to take corrective action, the process of reporting progress, and the concept of re-baselining a project.

Optimizing for Future Projects:

  • Learn to create project templates and explore additional MSP features and functions for enhanced project management.
