To qualify for these facilitator positions, candidates must have at least 2 years of experience facilitating courses in the construction and engineering industry. Additionally, applicants should have their own course materials or the ability to develop them for the listed topics. Those who do not meet these requirements will not be considered for these positions. Please ensure that you meet these qualifications before submitting your application.

FACILIATOR POSITION:
Facilitator to present a course on Sustainable Site Planning and Design

We are seeking a facilitator to present a course on Sustainable Site Planning and Design. The goal of this course is to provide professionals with the knowledge and skills to design and plan sustainable sites that are environmentally responsible, economically viable, and socially equitable. We are looking for a qualified facilitator with expertise in this field to lead this course.This course covers the principles and practices of designing and planning sustainable sites, including topics such as:

Topics to be covered

  • Land use: Issues related to land use patterns and the impact of development on natural systems.

  • Transportation: Strategies for promoting sustainable transportation options, such as public transit, pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure, and low-impact transportation modes.

We are looking for a qualified facilitator with expertise in this field to lead this course. This course teaches students how to design buildings that use less energy, with a focus on strategies for envelope design, lighting, and HVAC systems. The following topics will be covered:

  • Envelope design: Designing the outer shell of a building to minimize energy loss, such as through insulation, glazing, and air sealing.

  • Lighting: Designing lighting systems that use less energy, including the use of daylighting and LED lighting.

  • Best management practices (BMPs): Various BMPs that can be used to prevent stormwater pollution from construction sites, such as sediment control measures and erosion control measures.
